POSITION SUMMARY:
We're looking for a Licensed Architect for a client based in Miami Beach, Florida to lead the design and execution of custom luxury single-family residences. You'll work directly with principals, clients, consultants, and contractors to produce homes that are architecturally distinctive, technically rigorous, and built to last.
This is a 100% on site position in Miami Beach.
Salary Range- $120,000 to $150,000 DOE
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead design across all phases: programming, schematic design, design development, construction documents, permitting, bidding, and construction administration
- Develop floor plans, elevations, sections, and detailed construction drawings for custom single-family homes
- Collaborate with structural, MEP, civil, landscape, and interior design consultants to coordinate a complete set of documents
- Manage the permitting process with local jurisdictions, including zoning, HOA, and code review
- Conduct site visits, respond to RFIs, review submittals, and support construction administration through project close-out
- Work directly with the principals to translate vision into buildable design
- Create Moldboard and Interior Design Sets
- Maintain project budgets, schedules, and design quality across multiple concurrent projects
- Stay current on building codes, materials, sustainability practices, and luxury residential trends
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch) from an accredited program
- Knowledge in Interior Design
- Active architectural license in Florida
- 5-8 years of professional experience, with a meaningful portion focused on custom single-family residential
- Demonstrated portfolio of high-end residential work
- Proficiency in Revit (required), AutoCAD, SketchUp, Enscape/Lumion or equivalent rendering tools, and Adobe Creative Suite
- Deep working knowledge of the Florida Building Code, including high-velocity hurricane zone requirements where applicable
- Strong detailing skills and a refined design sensibility
- Excellent communication skills; comfortable presenting to sophisticated clients and managing consultants
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously without losing design quality or schedule control
